This site has been established for the benefit of field researchers and conservationists in Africa. It serves two purposes:
- To allow you to communicate with the general public, i.e. write popular articles and receive and answer public questions.
- Communicate with other researchers and project members.
This site will get public and closed group forums on demand.
The use of this web site is free.
As you can guess from the similar design, it is a sister site to http://elephanttrust.org/, in the sense that it runs on the same server and is designed, operated, and administered by the same person.
My thought was, if http://elephanttrust.org/ has become very successful, then all other field researchers in Africa should have the same opportunity, particularly if they cannot expend the time, effort, or money to establish their own web site. This also encompasses research assistants, students, and conservation activists.
